PRACTICAL GUIDE

What to know before you rotate pdf

Rotate PDF changes the display orientation of every page by 90°, 180° or 270°. It adjusts the page rotation property instead of capturing the page again, so text and images are not intentionally rasterized.

Sideways scans

Correct a scanned document when every page has the same wrong orientation.

Presentation pages

Align landscape or portrait pages before combining them with another document.

Print preparation

Create a consistently oriented copy to review before printing.

HOW THE PDF CHANGES

Technical limits to understand

Applies to every page

The selected angle is added to all pages. If only a few are wrong, extract those pages, rotate them and merge them back.

Display orientation

Some PDFs use unusual content coordinates. Check the result in another reader if a page still appears unexpected.

Digital signatures

Changing a signed file can cause PDF readers to report that its signature is no longer valid.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the result is not what you expected

Why do two 90° rotations equal 180°?

Each selected angle is added to the page's current rotation. Every run uses the file you selected as its source.

Can I rotate only page 2?

Not directly yet. Extract page 2, rotate it and merge it back into place.

FAQ

Does rotating edit page content?

The tool changes each page rotation property and does not intentionally edit its text or images.

Can I rotate selected pages only?

Not in the current web version. Per-page selection is on the roadmap.

Is my original file overwritten?
